Applied Kinesiology & Reiki-Seichem

Helix Health utilises a combination of basic Applied Kinesiology and Reiki-Seichem. Applied Kinesiology has assimilated and adapted techniques from multiple complementary disciplines. It is a system that evaluates and corrects structural, chemical and mental aspects of health through the use of nutrition and orthomolecular medicine, manual therapy, soft tissue massage, energy medicine like acupuncture/acupressure, reflex points and Bach Flower Remedies.

Nutrition And Orthomolecular Medicine

Linus Pauling, twice Nobel Prize winner, coined the term in 'orthomolecular medicine' in 1968. Orthomolecular medicine is based on the principle that nutritional deficiency and chemical imbalances manifests as symptoms and that the chemical balance can be restored through the use of nutritional supplementation and dietary advice with the aim to achieve 'optimum health'. In the past, prescribing large quantities of a single substance was the norm; today, the supplemental repertoire has widened and supplemental dosages tend to be lower. Vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids, co-enzymes and enzymes are used, and in Applied Kinesiology, the principle is expanded to include herbal supplements.

Manual Therapy And Soft Tissue Massage

Applied Kinesiology has its root in manual therapy, as if was founded by chiropractor Dr. George J. Goodheart, Jr. Today, the majority of Applied Kinesiologists are chiropractors and osteopaths, integrating AK within a structurally oriented discipline. Since our background is in psychology and our focus is systemic, Helix Health employs standard tried-and tested manual therapy techniques, with muscle testing and the five factors of the IVF forming the cornerstone, supplemented by cranial-sacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, myofascial techniques, mobilizations of joints and spinal segments, strain, counterstrain and various other soft tissue techniques.

Energy Medicine & Energy Psychology

Energy medicine is based on the principle that energy, known as qi/chi, prana, orgone, ether, and many other names, affect human health and can promote healing. It is a broad term used to describe many different disciplines that have this energetic basis in common. Energy medicine techniques used by Helix Health include and acupoint tapping, psychological reversal, emotional stress release, Bach flower remedies and Reiki-Seichem.
